Agnes is the only child of William Howard, K.G., 1st Baron Howard of Effingham (c.1509/10 - Jan 1572/3) and Katherine Broughton who died shortly after the birth of Agnes (d. 23 Apr 1535). Agnes is thought to have married William Paulet, 3rd Marquess of Winchester. However, she would have been very young and this may not be the correct marriage partner. In fact George Edward Cokaynegives a different marriage partner as Elizabeth Willoughby.
