The famous author of horror made a mini-series of his own story in the 1990s, which is based around the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, earlier the host of the 1985 US Closed Championships.
Kubrick is my favorite filmmaker, and I love all of his films except this one. I still think it has much to recommend it and is easily worth watching for any devoted cinephile, but I don't think it succeeds as a film. Below is my beef.
