Janco Marcel. Artists / Classic Israeli Artists / J. Born in Romania in 1895. Marcel Janco was one of the founders of the Dada movement in 1916 a major art movement of the 20th century. In the midst of second World War in 1941 he succeeded to reach Israel. He settled in Tel-Aviv and taught painting. In 1953 he founded the Ein-Hod artist village.
Marcel Janco (maɐ̯ˈsɛl ˈjaŋko), nato Marcel Hermann Iancu (marˈt͡ʃel ˈherman ˈjaŋku) (Bucarest, 24 maggio 1895 – 21 aprile 1984) è stato un pittore rumeno. Fu anche architetto , teorico dell'arte e promotore culturale, conosciuto come uno dei fondatori del Dadaismo , esponente del simbolismo ed uno dei principali esponenti del Costruttivismo in Europa orientale .
29 de may. de 2018 · La figura del artista rumano, de ascendencia judía, Marcel Hermann Iancu (1895-1984), también conocido como Marcel Janco, está vinculada, indisolublemente, con el Dadaísmo. Su papel relevante en el nacimiento y la difusión del movimiento dadaísta ha eclipsado otras facetas de este polifacético artística, como es el caso de su obra arquitectónica.
Masque. [1919] Janco's masks, which were worn for Dada performances, readings and dances in the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, were invested with a magical function and a metamorphic power. Marcel Janco participated in the first Dada events, notably through his costumes and masks made from pieces of cardboard, newspapers, wire thread and twine.

Marcel Iancu (cunoscut și ca Marcel Janco, în ebraică: מרסל ינקו, n. 24 mai 1895 , București , România – d. 21 aprilie 1984 , Ein Hod ( d ) , Districtul Haifa , Israel ) a fost un pictor , arhitect și eseist român - evreu - israelian .
Marcel Janco fue un pintor y arquitecto rumano-israelí. Estudió arquitectura en el Instituto Politécnico de Zúrich y pintura con Iser-Josif. Hacia 1922 retornó a Rumania, donde se consolidó como pintor, y en 1941 emigró a Israel escapando del nazismo.
