Overall, ‘Unbreakable’ is yet another impressive Primal Fear album, right on par with previous releases like ‘16.6’, ‘Seven Seals’, ‘Black Sun’ and ‘Jaws of Death’. With natural progression, the now veterans of the power metal genre have added much maturity into their music and its not all just wham-bam A-B straightforward power metal.
‘Unbreakable’ is the usual Primal Fear material; the album is enjoyable but doesn’t deviate from their usual formula. The production is a bit tighter compared to some of their past work though. There’s a few songs like “Bad Guys Wear Black” and “Metal Nation” that are fairly stereotypical Heavy Metal style songs which aren’t usually my thing, but these songs are enjoyable.
Mat Sinner (2019) Primal Fear wurde im Oktober 1997 von Sänger Ralf Scheepers (Ex- Gamma-Ray) und von Sänger und Bassist Mat Sinner ( Sinner) gegründet. Nach einem gemeinsamen Auftritt mit der Judas-Priest -Coverband Just Priest, bei dem Mat Sinner und Tom Naumann aushalfen, entstand die Idee, Primal Fear zu gründen.
Bei PRIMAL FEAR hat man irgendwie immer noch das Gefühl, dass sie zur Bewegung junger, frischer Power Metal-Bands gehören. Dabei sind die Deutschen jetzt schon seit fünfzehn Jahren im Geschäft und haben mit “Unbreakable“ ihr mittlerweile neuntes Studioalbum am Start.
