Edward Sutton, 2nd Lord Dudley was born circa 1459.1 He was the son of Sir Edmund Sutton and Joyce Tiptoft.1 He married Cicely Willoughby, daughter of Sir William Willoughby.2 He died on 31 January 1508.2.

After her death in 1566, he married Lady Jane Stanley, a daughter of Edward Stanley, 3rd Earl of Derby, in 1567.
