7 de ene. de 2018 · In 2002, Prince took a tour of Japan, and invited fans along for a special backstage visit. Before his show on Nov. 18, he and his band - which included Madhouse collaborator Eric Leeds - recorded a jazzy instrumental at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, which would eventually became one of five songs included on the mini-album C-Note.
Prince produced new music at a furious pace throughout the last decade of his life, which is what made his death in 2016 such a shock: his music was ceaselessly, endlessly alive and full of possibility. Music ran in Prince's blood. The son of a jazz pianist and singer, Prince Rogers Nelson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 7, 1958.
