Kyle Eastwood ist der Sohn von Clint Eastwood und Maggie Johnson. Er wuchs in Carmel-by-the-Sea auf und studierte zunächst Filmwissenschaft an der University of Southern California, bevor er sich für eine Laufbahn als Musiker entschied. 31 de mar. de 2013 · Kyle Eastwood's boyhood in Carmel, California, may have been where and when he began his love of jazz, but as an adult his love of France seems to impact more and more on his music. Eastwood's sixth album, The View From Here, doesn't always show this influence explicitly but it's there nonetheless and it's giving the bassist's music a distinctive and delightful vibe.
Added to a diet of classic jazz at home, such experiences educated him well in the language of jazz – and the results are still readily apparent on The View From Here. Eastwood is a long-standing resident of Paris, and this album was recorded in September 2012 at one of France’s finest studios, La Buissonne, near Avignon.
