Panorama is a British current affairs documentary programme broadcast on the BBC. First broadcast in 1953, it is the world's longest-running television news magazine programme. [2]

The programme is currently presented by Jeremy Vine. Panorama set an example for the German magazine show of the same name, which is produced by NDR, and broadcast on Das Erste. Panorama started there in 1961 and is one of the leading political magazine shows. The theme music is an adaptation of Francis Lai's Aujourd'Hui C'est Toi (Today It's You).
