I was anticipating more based on the cast, but even they are a little underwhelming. it's relative to what I was expecting, as Eastwood is still solid, Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland too, and the plot is satisfactory; even if I would've shaved off 15-25 ...

Space Cowboys ist ein US-amerikanischer Science-Fiction-Film aus dem Jahr 2000. Die Hauptrolle spielt Clint Eastwood , der selbst auch Regie führte und als Produzent beteiligt war. Für vier ältere Herren (gespielt von Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland , Tommy Lee Jones und James Garner ), Pioniere der Raumfahrttechnik, geht ein Traum in Erfüllung, als sie doch noch ins All fliegen dürfen.
Synopsis. In 1958, the members of Team Daedalus, a group of top Air Force test pilots, were ready to serve their country as the first Americans in space. When NASA replaced the Air Force for outer atmospheric testing, Team Daedalus was pushed aside and a chimpanzee got the honor. The team retired, but the dream of going into space never died.
