Sir Thomas Parr , born c.1483, of Kendal Castle, Westmoreland (now Cumbria). See wikipedia . He mar Maud Green [born 6 April 1492, descendant of Edward I ]. He died in his home at Blackfriars, London, 11 Nov 1517, age c.34 yrs. He was bur in St. Ann's Church, Blackfriars, London [destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666].

Hija del oficial de la corte sir Thomas Parr, Catalina Parr había contraído matrimonio en dos ocasiones y enviudado otras tantas antes casarse en 1543 con Enrique VIII. Ejerció la regencia mientras su marido luchaba en Francia (1544) e influyó para restablecer en el favor del rey a sus hijas, las futuras reinas María Tudor e Isabel I , contribuyendo a la educación de ambas.
Sir Thomas fue Sheriff de Northamptonshire, Master of the Wards y Comptroller del rey Enrique VIII. Su madre, Lady Parr, estuvo entre las damas del séquito de Catalina de Aragón. A los 17 años, en 1529, Catalina contrajo matrimonio con Lord Eduard Borough.
