Before Mary's death in 1773, they were the parents of Mary Goelet (1773–1774), who died in infancy. After the death of his second wife, Goelet remarried for a third time to Elizabeth Farmer, the daughter of Thomas Farmer and Sarah (née Billop) Farmer, who inherited the Bentley estate in Staten Island.

In 1903, his daughter, who reportedly had a net worth of $20 million, married Scotsman and military careerist Henry Innes-Ker, 8th Duke of Roxburghe, at Manhattan’s Saint Thomas Church.

She was stratospherically wealthy in her own right, with $500,000 falling to her on her 21st birthday in 1899, along with $10,000,000 held in trust. By the letter of her father’s will, she was to receive half of the residuary estate of $30,000,000.
20 de abr. de 2020 · A daughter, named May after her mother was born in 1878. On January 9, 1880, May gave birth to a boy they named Robert Wilson Goelet. Thus, within months of Robert and Ogden’s father Robert Goelet’s passing, there were two newly minted Robert W. Goelets in the family.
