Tris Imboden started playing the drums at an early age in the typical manner, driving his parents crazy banging on drumsets made of pots and pans. Unable to get into the drum section during junior high school as there were no openings, he was forced to play trumpet for awhile and actually became second chair before there was an opening on the drums.
