Das Chelsea College of Art and Design entstand aus mehreren Londoner Schulen. 1895 wurde in Chelsea die South-Western Polytechnic gegründet, an der vor allem wissenschaftliche und technische Fächer in Tages- und Abendkursen gelehrt wurden. Darüber hinaus wurden auch Kunst, Kunsthandwerk und Musik angeboten.

Whether you're looking to learn something new or take your creative passion to the next level, we cater for every level of ability.
BA Textile Design graduates have gone on to work in international fashion or interior design studios, trend-forecasting companies and magazines. Others have set up their own businesses or gone on to postgraduate study on Chelsea's MA Textile Design, Central St Martins MA Fashion, as well as courses at other renowned institutions such as the Royal College of Art.
