Peter János Weissmüller ( 2. juni 1904 – 20. januar 1984 ), bedre kendt som Johnny Weissmuller spillede Tarzan i 19 film og betragtes som "verdens bedste Tarzan". Han var også en af verdens bedste svømmere og satte i 1920'erne 67 verdensrekorder. Han opnåede i alt fem guldmedaljer ved Sommer-OL 1924 i Paris.
