Charles Talbot was the 12th Earl of Shrewsbury and 1st Duke of Shrewsbury. He succeeded his father who was 11th Earl of Shrewsbury. He was born in England and died in Charing Cross. When Hon Charles TALBOT 1st Duke of Shrewsbury was born on 24 July 1660, in Longford, Shropshire, England, his father, Sir Francis Talbot 11th Earl of Shrewsbury, was 35 and his mother, Anna Maria Brudenell Countess of Shrewsbury, was 18. He married Adelaide Paleotti about 1705, in Rome, Roma, Lazio, Italy.
