The Last Shadow Puppets au Sound Fix Records Studio. Le premier album, The Age of the Understatement, principalement enregistré en France en août 2007, sort au printemps 2008. Pour l'album, le groupe a collaboré avec le producteur James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons) et Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire, Final Fantasy) pour les arrangements cordes.
