The film's final section concentrates on the home life of Luft, her brother Joey, and their half sister Liza Minnelli, as the kids and their broke mom moved from one hotel to another and Luft nursed Garland through depressions and binges. Life With Judy Garland premiered in February of 2001 on ABC, earning Emmy awards for both Davis and Blanchard.

29 de may. de 2012 · In observance of Judy Garland's 90th birthday last week, I watched "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows" (2001). This is actually the second biopic made of Garland's life; the earlier effort was made in 1978 and titled "Rainbow."

I don’t know why it took me so long to finally watch Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows, but I’m glad I did. ( Thanks, Film Twitter!) This is truly one of the best and most entertaining Hollywood biopics ever made — and what makes this film so special are the tour-de-force performances by both Judy Davis and Tammy Blanchard sharing the role of Judy Garland throughout the film.
Original title: Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows. Synopsis: The movie starts off at the beginning of Judy Garland's life singing when she was two years old. It jumps to when she was 12 and was signed by MGM and later when her father dies.
