Calogero Lorenzo "Chazz" Palminteri nació en may de 1952 en la ciudad de New York, en los Estados Unidos. De familia ítalo-americana y criado en el duro vecindario del Bronx, Chazz estudió en la Theodore Roosevelt High School y, en 1973, comenzó a tomar lecciones de actuación con Lee Strasberg en el Actor's Studio.
