Written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, Home Alone was the story of a boy who is accidentally left behind when his family travels to Europe for the holidays.

Leslie Bricusse was born in London on 29 January 1931 and grew up in the suburb of Pinner. His father worked in newspaper sales, and his mother was a homemaker.
