Franz Liszt sau Liszt Ferenc (n. 22 octombrie 1811 , Raiding ( d ) , Imperiul Austriac – d. 31 iulie 1886 , Bayreuth , Bavaria , Imperiul German ) a fost un compozitor maghiar și unul dintre cei mai renumiți pianiști ai tuturor timpurilor.

As a composer he radically extended the technique of piano writing, giving the instrument not only brilliance but a full and rich, almost orchestral sound.
Franz Liszt fue un compositor, pianista y maestro húngaro del siglo XIX. Nació el 22 de octubre de 1811 en Raiding, en el Reino de Hungría, y falleció el 31 de julio de 1886 en Bayreuth, en el Reino de Baviera. Liszt es considerado uno de los compositores más importantes del Romanticismo y uno de los pianistas más virtuosos de la historia.
