Lloyd Harlin Polite, Jr. Profile: American singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, born 3 January 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana. His music career started when he joined the band N-Toon, which was active from 1996 to 2001. Soon after the group disbanded Polite signed his first solo record deal under basketball player Magic Johnson’s MJM label.
Lloyd. Lloyd Harlin Polite, Jr., known to the music world simply as Lloyd, was born in 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the young age of 11, Lloyd joined the group N-Toon, created by Joyce Irby of the 80s group Klymaxx. While the group released the single "Ready" and the album Toon Time in 2000, they broke up shortly after.

Polite grew up in the Calliope Projects in New Orleans’ Central City.
