André Masséna (Nice, 6 de maio de 1758 — 4 de abril de 1817) foi um comandante militar francês durante as Guerras Revolucionárias Francesas e as Guerras Napoleônicas. [1] Ele foi um dos 18 Marechais do Império originais criados por Napoleão I , com o apelido de l'Enfant chéri de la Victoire (o Querido Filho da Vitória).

His father Jules and his uncle Augustin were amongst the first Massénas to move to Nice, in the 1740s. The Masséna family originated from Piedmont and had preferred to settle firstly in Levens. Jules’s third child, André, was born in the capital of the county on 6 May 1758, and baptised in the cathedral Sainte-Réparate two days later.
