The family's main seat is Inveraray Castle where His Grace's personal Banner is flown when he is in residence, although the Duke and Duchess divide their time between their other properties, including one in West London.

She was married to the 12th Duke of Argyll from 1964 until his death in 2001, after which she was known as the Dowager Duchess of Argyll. Eleanor Mary Campbell, Duchess of Argyll is a British noblewoman, and Prior of the Order of St John's Priory of Scotland. A member of the Cadbury family, she is the wife of the 13th Duke of Argyll.
On 8 June 2002, she married Torquhil Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll, at St. Mary's Church, in Fairford, Gloucestershire. The Duke and Duchess have three children: Archibald Friedrich Campbell, Marquess of Lorne (born London, 9 March 2004), known as Archie Lorne; he served as a Page of Honour to the Queen from 2015 to 2018.
