24 de may. de 2018 · Lord Anne Douglas-Hamilton was married to Anna Powell and had two sons, Lt. Col.James Douglas-Hamilton (1746–1804) and Admiral Charles Powell Douglas-Hamilton (1747–1825). However, in 1734 he had already had an illegitimate son by Mary Edwardes, named Gerard Anne Edwardes. Gerard went on to marry Lady Jane Noel.

[1] He was the son of William Douglas-Hamilton, 1st Earl of Selkirk and Anne Hamilton, 3rd Duchess of Hamilton. [1] He married, firstly, Lady Anne Spencer, daughter of Robert Spencer, 2nd Earl of Sunderland and Lady Anne Digby, on 5 January 1686/87.

Anne had three younger sisters and five brothers, including James Hamilton, 3rd Earl of Arran, John Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Hamilton, and Claud Hamilton, 1st Lord Paisley. James, who was declared legally insane on 9 April 1562, had aspired to marry Queen Mary, [2] and at one point in 1562, there was a rumour spread throughout the realm that he had planned to abduct her.

Lady Anne Hamilton (1738–1780), who married Arthur Chichester, 1st Marquess of Donegall, and had children. Archibald Hamilton, 9th Duke of Hamilton (1740–1819) Lord Spencer Hamilton (1742–1789) [3] who died unmarried in Paris. [4] An alternative death date of 1791 is also recorded. [5]
11 de mar. de 2009 · Anne Hamilton, 3rd Duchess of Hamilton was born in January 1631/32. 1 She was the daughter of James Hamilton, 1st Duke of Hamilton and Lady Margaret Feilding. 1 She married William Douglas-Hamilton, 1st Earl of Selkirk, son of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon, on 29 April 1656. 3 She died on 17 October 1716 at age 84 at Hamilton, Scotland G. 1
