24 de ene. de 2022 · Grebel and the others refused to recognize the legitimacy of the mandate and, on 21 January 1525, performed adult baptisms at Felix Manz's home and encouraged others to refuse to have their infants baptized. The city council then issued another mandate decreeing anyone not complying with the first one would be arrested and heavily fined.

George Blaurock. Jörg vom Haus Jacob (Georg Cajacob, o Jorge de la Casa de Jacob), comúnmente conocido como George Blaurock (c. 1491 – 6 de septiembre de 1529), Fue un líder y evangelista anabautista. One of the first Anabaptist leaders, Felix Manz, was drowned in Zürich in 1527, and persecution eliminated other Anabaptist leaders, most of them educated and moderate men, over the next decade. Less temperate spirits came to the fore, sustaining their courage by setting dates for the speedy coming of the Lord.
