Vakhtang (Georgian: ვახტანგი) or Tsuata (Georgian: ცუატა) (c. 1118 – 1138) was a Georgian royal prince (batonishvili) of the Bagrationi dynasty. He was the son of King David IV the Builder and the Cuman - Kipchak princess Gurandukht, daughter of Khan Otrok .

It is named after the 5th-century king, Vakhtang Gorgasali, whose own history is closely tied to this quaint mountain village.

Vakhtang V (1659-75), Šāhnavāz II to the Persians, tried to reestablish a united kingdom in eastern Georgia by placing his son, Archil II, on the throne of Kakheti (Brosset, II/1, pp. 74-78; Asatiani, pp. 115-26).
However, Catholicos Anton II, who wrote in the 18th century, listed King Vakhtang IV's domains as mainly principalities of Western Georgia: Abkhazia, Jiketi, Samegrelo, Guria and Imereti. Prince David Bagrationi , who would write later in the 19th century, added Ossetia to his domains, even though Anton II listed the latter as part of Demetrius III's territories.
