In the year 1620, Maria Eleonora married the Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus with her mother´s consent, but against the will of her brother George William, Elector of Brandenburg, who had just succeeded her father.

Anna Maria war eine Tochter des brandenburgischen Kurfürsten Johann Georg (1525–1598) aus dessen zweiter Ehe mit Sabina (1548–1575), Tochter des Markgrafen Georg von Brandenburg-Ansbach. Sie heiratete am 8. Januar 1581 in Berlin Herzog Barnim X. von Pommern (1540–1603). Die Verlobung hatte im Jahr davor stattgefunden.

Anna Marie von Brandenburg-Ansbach was born 28 December 1526 in Jägerndorf to Georg der Fromme von Brandenburg-Ansbach-Kulmbach (1484-1543) and Hedwig von Münsterberg-Öls (1508-1531) and died 20 May 1589 Nürtingen of unspecified causes. She married Christof von Württemberg (1515-1568) 17 March 1544 JL in Ansbach.
