Frederick Casimir married Countess Emilia Antwerpiana of Nassau (9 December 1581 – 28 September 1657), a daughter of William the Silent, Prince of Orange, on 4 July 1616 and had Frederick Louis, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken (27 October 1619 – 11 April 1681), his heir.

[1] She married on 10 September 1525 in Kassel , Count Palatine and Duke Louis II of Zweibrücken (1502–1532).

Count Palatine Wolfgang of Zweibrücken was member of the Wittelsbach family of the Counts Palatine and Duke of Zweibrücken from 1532. With the support of his regent, his uncle Rupert, Wolfgang introduced the Reformation to Zweibrücken in 1537.
He was the only son of Louis II, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken and his wife Elisabeth of Hesse, daughter of William I, Landgrave of Hesse. His father died in 1532, so the regency of Palatinate-Zweibrücken passed to Louis' younger brother Rupert until 1543.
