Bagshot Park is a royal residence located near Bagshot, a village 11 miles (18 km) south of Windsor. It is on Bagshot Heath, a 50-square-mile (130 km 2 ) tract of formerly open land in Surrey and Berkshire .
He was the son of David Ricardo of Gatcombe Park and educated at Charterhouse School (1812–1815) and Trinity College, Cambridge. At age 20, he succeeded his father in 1823, inheriting the family seat at Gatcombe Park. Career. He was appointed High Sheriff of Gloucestershire for 1830–31.
