Die Löwen‐Burg sieht sehr alt aus. Aber. Sie ist etwa 220 Jahre. Sie wurde für den Landgraf Wilhelm gebaut. Er herrschte damals über die Stadt Kassel. Später hieß er Kurfürst Wilhelm der Erste. Er fand alte Ritter‐Burgen gut. Die Löwen‐Burg war ein Lust‐Schloss für den Landgrafen. Ein Lust‐Schloss ist ein kleines Schloss.

The armoury and the castle chapel are accessible. From 1 April 2022 to 31 October 2022, Löwenburg Castle will be open from Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 10 am to 4 pm. Visits are only possible every hour with a guided tour. The last guided tour is at 4 pm. Access to the castle is from the side via the stables.
