Danny Lebern Glover (/ ˈ ɡ l ʌ v ər / GLUV-ər; born July 22, 1946) is an American actor, producer and political activist. Over his career he has received numerous accolades including the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , the NAACP 's President's Award , as well as nominations for five Emmy Awards and four Grammy Awards .
There had long been talk of a fifth Lethal Weapon film, although both Gibson and Danny Glover initially expressed a lack of interest. Gibson confirmed in November 2021 that he was in talks to direct and star in the fifth film, saying that he would be helming the film to honor Donner, who wrote the screenplay and was originally set to direct the film prior to his death in July 2021.
