John Stuart Mill (ur. 20 maja 1806 w Pentonville, w Londynie, zm. 8 maja 1873 w Awinionie) – angielski filozof, politolog i ekonomista. W filozofii był pierwotnie kontynuatorem tradycji utylitaryzmu. W politologii i ekonomii był teoretykiem i przedstawicielem liberalizmu. Uważany jest za twórcę liberalizmu demokratycznego.

Taught Greek, Latin, and political economy at an early age, he spent his youth in the company of the Philosophic Radicals, Benthamites and utilitarians who gathered around his father James.
