  1. 4 de ago. de 1999 · Biography. Victor John Mature was an American stage, film and television actor. In July 1942 Mature attempted to enlist in the U.S. Navy but was rejected for color blindness. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard after taking a different eye test the same day. He was assigned to the USCGC Storis (WMEC-38), which was doing Greenland patrol work.

  6. Victor John Mature was born on January 29, 1913, in Louisville, Kentucky. His parents were Marcello Gelindo Maturi, later Marcello George Mature and Clara Ackley. His father was an immigrant from what is today Trentino in Italy, while his mother was a Kentucky born of Swiss descent. He attended St Xavier High School but never graduated.
