Abstract. This article focuses on the human becoming theory as a guide to the transformation of research and practice. New knowledge gained from human becoming research guides the nurse in practice. Different ways of being in true presence in living the human becoming theory are discussed.
Rosemarie Rizzo Parse presents an alternative to both the conventional bio-medical and the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approaches presented in other theories of nursing. Parse first published her theory in 1981 as the "Man-living-health."
