The 21-story Carlton House Hotel towers at the corner of Sixth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh, with Grant Street in the foreground. The Carlton was a prestige address for a number of years and hosted a variety of famous people including Mohammed Ali, the Rolling Stones, Richard Nixon, Nikita Khrushchev, and Lassie. The Hotel was imploded in 1980.
