That might be plenty of space for an average family, but definitely not for 16 people. According to the family, there was always a line for the bathroom and, with just one hot water heater, they had to carefully schedule showers.

Feeding all those kids is not the half of it. The water bill for laundry, dishes, toilets, baths and mopping up after all the spills is way up there. Even buying clothes at the thrift store is not cheap. With relatively healthy children, doctor visits, dentist visits take a lot more money. Homeschooling is not free.
