Yes, I've seen better films this month, but Red Nights was the one that really took me by surprise. It's a super-stylish Hong Kong set Giallo homage that is significantly spiced up by a touch of Cat III sleaze courtesy of the ever lethal Carrie Ng. The feel of Jess Franco and Jean Rollin is also delightfully in evidence.
