They had thirteen children. Elizabeth's husband Benedict Calvert inherited a 4,000-acre (16 km2) plantation known as Mount Airy,[11] near Upper Marlboro in Prince George's County, Maryland, where he grew tobacco.[12]

However the supposition that he is descended from Melusina de Schulenberg, Countess of Walsingham, is wrong. Uncle Bill had letters from Benedict's descendants through his son George that point instead to Princess Amelia, daughter of George II, as being Benedict's mother.
