ドゥ・ザ・ライト・シング (Do the right thing) とは、「（人として）正しいことをする、当然のことをする」という意味の言葉。 特に アメリカ 人が非常に好んで使う フレーズ で、「 理屈や損得ではなく、まっとうなことをする、まともじゃないことはしない 」という意味で使われる。
『ドゥ・ザ・ライト・シング』（原題: Do the right thing）は、1989年にスパイク・リーが監督・製作・脚本・主演をして公開されたアメリカ映画である。ブルックリンを舞台に人種差別と対立を扱っている。
