Lady Augusta was born in Dublin. She was the second wife of Arthur Cavendish Bentinck. The title of Baroness Bolsover was created for her in 1880 with the remainder to her husband’s male heirs. The barony became extinct in 1977 with the death of the 7th Duke of Portland. Lady Augusta was buried in the crypt.
