Haewon drifts in and out of dreams and has a series of encounters: with a professor who teaches in America and knows Martin Scorsese, with a friend locked in a long-term relationship with a married man, with a famous French actress.
With Nugu-ui ttal-do anin Haewon (Nobody's Daughter Haewon), Hong Sang-soo brought one of the festival's best actresses to the screen in Jeong Eun-chae. While it had some dramatically scripted and emotional scenes, it is in the semi-detached observational aesthetic so particular to Hong that the film becomes more character than plot-driven.
