Bruce Campbell is prima in vorm en steelt samen met vooral de skeletten de show. Daadwerkelijke horror is ver te zoeken, maar dit is overduidelijk ook niet de insteek van deze film, waarmee regisseur Sam Raimi zich wederom een bekwaam regisseur heeft getoond.
