Sibylle of Saxony (2 May 1515 in Freiberg – 18 July 1592 in Buxtehude) was a Saxon princess of the Albertine line of House of Wettin and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Lauenburg. Life [ edit ] Sibylle was the eldest child of the Duke Henry IV of Saxony (1473–1541) from his marriage to Catherine of Mecklenburg (1487–1561), daughter of the Duke Magnus II of Mecklenburg.
Magdalene Sibylle was born in Königsberg, the daughter of Albert Frederick, Duke of Prussia and Marie Eleonore of Cleves. She married John George on 19 July 1607 in Torgau . Magdalene Sibylle was a friend of the Swedish queen Maria Eleonora of Brandenburg, her niece, and was interested in painting, poetry and gardening.
Sibylle war eine Tochter des brandenburgischen Kurfürsten Albrecht Achilles (1414–1486) aus dessen zweiter Ehe mit Anna (1436–1512), Tochter des Kurfürsten Friedrich II. von Sachsen. Sie heiratete am 25.
