Christopher Plummer, Canadian actor known for his interpretations of classical roles on the stage and for dignified performances in films. He won Tony Awards for his work in Cyrano (1974) and Barrymore (1997), and he garnered an Academy Award for his portrayal of a widower who comes out as gay in Beginners (2010).
