Character Analysis. As love stories go, this one probably won't win any awards anytime soon. Lady Grey's husband has passed away, and her lands have been taken away from her. Women didn't have much power once their hubbies died, but instead of suffering through it, Lady Grey decides she wants to get her lands back and goes to the king for help.
