Maria Theresa of Austria ( Maria Theresia Josepha Charlotte Johanna; 14 January 1767 – 7 November 1827) was born an Archduchess of Austria and a Princess of Tuscany. She was later Queen of Saxony as the second wife and consort of King Anthony of Saxony .
Maria Theresa, the daughter of Emperor Charles VI and Elisabeth Christine of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, was the first woman to sit on the Habsburg throne at the tender age of 23. She won the war on several fronts against other monarchs in Europe and become one of the most important administrative, educational and economic reformers in Austria.
