  7. He died on 23 January 1851, and on 2 August 1854 she married Harry George Vane, youngest son of William Harry Vane, youngest son of William Harry Vane, Duke of Cleveland. He succeeded to the Dukedom in 1864, and in the same year took the name Powlett in place of Vane in accordance with the will of his maternal grandmother the Duchess of Bolton.
