Es bastante resistente y fuerte a pesar de su pequeño tamaño.
Entretien et hygiène. Le Terrier Ecossais n'est pas sujet à une mue importante et ne perd que peu de poil. Cependant, sa robe nécessite beaucoup d'entretien et des toilettages réguliers, surtout si le chien est appelé à prendre part à des expositions. Le budget associé à son entretien est de ce fait, plutôt conséquent.
