The VHS videotape that I'm reviewing here contains one complete 1977 episode of "THE MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW". Originating from Philadelphia starting in mid-1965, "The Mike Douglas Show" was an entertaining 90-minute daytime talk show, with lots of famous guests appearing throughout the many years the show was on the air in syndication.
In seiner Talkshow The Mike Douglas Show traten zwischen 1961 und 1982 unter anderem John Lennon, Bob Hope, Truman Capote und Richard Nixon sowie die The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson und Herman’s Hermits auf. Barbra Streisand und Aretha Franklin verdanken ihre Karriere maßgeblich der Show von Mike Douglas.
Note: The show started 1961 in Cleveland, when Westinghouse owned Channel 3 and called it KYW.
