11 de feb. de 2007 · Standing in the Spotlight was Dee Dee (Ramone) King's debut album as a rapper/rocker. Some of the tracks are rap songs whilst the others are just Ramones style pop songs. It seems like Dee Dee stop rapping and made a few future Ramones tracks (The Crusher appears on Adios Amigos).

Dee Dee then began rapping in German, accompanied by Debbie Harry, not realizing that rapping in another language doesn't improve your vocal performance. Things get a little more exciting in parts of "The Crusher", the parts where Dee Dee sang in a punk style, but the rapped verses left the same numbing effect as usual.

Really, there were only about three straight up Hip Hop tunes, including “2 Much 2 Drink,†“Commotion in the Ocean,†and “German Kid.†And, even those tracks were backed by a live band.
